A single cab tray gives you the longest flat load area you can get on a ute, which is why it is the tradie favourite. Plenty of room for lengths of pipe or timber, and a proper base to bolt a ladder rack, toolboxes or a canopy to later on.
Aluminium single cab trays are the ones worth chasing second-hand: they do not rust, they stay light so your payload goes on gear, and a tidy used one does the same job as new for a fraction of the money.

Will a single cab tray off another ute fit mine?
Generally yes. Most of ours have adjustable mounts, so they move between makes. We list which ute each tray came off and mark the multi-fit ones. Send your year and model and we will confirm what bolts up.
What does it cost to fit an aluminium single cab tray?
Tub removal plus tray install is $975, tub disposed of free, mudguards and tail lights included. Cab chassis tray install on its own is $695. Done at our Ningi workshop, usually within the day.
Can I put a ladder rack or canopy on it later?
That is exactly what a single cab tray is for. The long flat floor takes racks, toolboxes and canopies easily, and we carry used racks and canopies too. We can fit an aluminium canopy for $180 while the ute is here, with new fitting hardware supplied and fitted.
How much is a used single cab tray?
Usually $1,200 to $2,600 depending on condition, length and whether mudguards and lights are included. Prices are listed on the item and they are firm.
