Customer supplied tray fitting
Bought a tray off Marketplace or online? Bring it to Ningi and we will fit it properly — tub off, mounts set, lights wired, driven out the same day.
We fit your tray, or ours
Plenty of blokes find a tray cheap on Marketplace and then work out the hard part is getting it on. Pulling a factory tub, lining up mounts that were made for a different ute, wiring tail lights and sorting the fuel filler is a full weekend with a mate and a borrowed engine crane — if it goes well.
We do it every week. Drop the ute and the tray at our Ningi workshop and pick it up fitted, wired and checked within the quoted scope. The base installation rate is the same whether the tray came from us or from somewhere else.
If you have not bought yet, have a look at what is in our yard first. Buying the tray and the fitting together means one trip, one invoice, and we already know the tray is straight.
You supply the tray
Marketplace, Gumtree, online, or one already sitting in your shed. Send photos and your ute details first and we will confirm it fits before you book. Same install price as ours.
We supply the tray
Pick one out of the yard at Ningi, already checked over and priced to condition. One trip, one invoice, and a $200 deposit holds the tray and a fitting slot.

Tub Removal + Tray Install

Your tray fitted, factory tub removed and disposed of free, mudguards and tail lights sorted.
Cab Chassis Tray Install
$695
Already a cab chassis. Your tray mounted, wired and finished.
Canopy Install
$180
Your canopy is mounted and secured with new fitting hardware supplied and fitted. Aluminium canopies only.

Mounts adjusted
Most trays can be made to suit another ute. If mounting brackets need to be moved or modified, the $250 mounting-bracket adjustment applies. New mounts are quoted separately from $400.
Lights and guards
Tail lights wired, mudguards mounted and the fuel filler sorted within the quoted scope. Everything we touch is checked before handover.
Usually same day
Drop it in the morning, drive it out that afternoon. No weekend gone.

Will you fit a tray I bought somewhere else?
Yes — that is most of what this page is about. Marketplace buy, online order, a mate’s old tray, it does not matter where it came from. Bring the tray and the ute to Ningi and we will fit it properly.
What does it cost to fit a customer supplied tray?
The base fitting rate is $695 if your ute is already a cab chassis or $975 if the factory tub still has to come off. If mounting brackets need to be moved or modified, the $250 mounting-bracket adjustment applies. New mounts are quoted separately from $400.
What if the tray does not actually fit my ute?
We check before you commit. Send photos of the tray and tell us your ute year and model, and we will tell you straight whether it bolts up, needs the mounts adjusted, or is not worth the trouble. Better to hear it now than with your ute on the hoist.
Can you fit mudguards and tail lights I supply too?
Yes. If you bought guards or lights separately, bring them and we will mount and wire them with the tray. If you are short a set, we carry them here.
How long does it take?
Most jobs are done in a day — drop the ute in the morning, pick it up that afternoon. If the tray needs mount work we will tell you up front, before you book.
